Telescope Using The Latest Technology Or Modern Technology

April 15, 2008

As you know that the telescope has been in use for hundreds of years and we should thank Galileo because it was he who actually contributed largely for the development of the telescope. The first ever telescope was developed way back in the year 1611 and was named “The Telescope” by a Greek poet –Theologian. This original telescope that was created is still largely associated with the people who use it but it is in a far more advanced technology.

The original telescope is referred as a telescope with a Refractor Style and it consists of a single tube, which is long enough to let the light pass in a straight line right up to the eyepiece. The making of a telescope has come a long way since its first advent into the field of astronomy. There has been a lot of change in its design as well as the technology used in the making of the telescope. Today the most advanced technology is used with the modern day telescope using computerized viewing of the image on the screen of the telescope.

Today many telescopes have a computer controlled viewing of the image which you can move and save which co-ordinates with your computer so that you can view the same image as many times as you like. This computer-controlled version of the telescope helps you to take a photograph or for that matter you can also video shoot what you are viewing.

These modern telescopes or latest technological based telescope are based on a Catadioptrics design, which was developed by German Bernhard Schmidt. This technology is based on a combination of refractor and reflector telescopes and this design is used in a large range of telescopes starting with the small amateur telescopes that are used in your backyard to the ones that are used by the professionals in the astronomy observatory stations. The reason why you cannot see the things in space is because they are too small to be seen by your naked eyes in other words they are so tiny that they do not occupy your pupil when you look at them with your naked eye. To be able to see them better the telescope makes these images appear large enough to be seen by your eye. Today’s Modern Telescopes help us by gathering light through its front objective lens, and focusing this light they then magnify this image so that your pupil can see these images.

Compared to the days gone by it is easier for you to get into astronomy and it is a great experience that which you can share with your family what with the different types of telescopes that are easily available in the market with the latest technology available. There are small telescopes that can be bought from the local market with a very decent introductory price of say well under $100 from any departmental stores. These introductory small telescopes are a hit with kids because they help them to view the sky and they also give you a good look at the moon which you will really like. Then there are different sites on the internet that are linked with the most powerful telescope observatory centers all around the world which will give you and your kids a more beautiful image of the skies. And there are yet some sites where you can logon and control these telescopes from their websites and get the feeling of having your own observatory without leaving your home or for that matter spending any money.

Companies like the Bushnell, Tosco, Celestron and Vixen Optics make some of the most popular brands using this modern technology in their computers.

Summary:

The modern day telescopes have come a long way from the days of their original advent into the field of astronomy. Today these telescopes use the most modern technology with the use of computers, which help the viewer to see the images more clearly, and sharply they also help the viewer to capture the pictures in the form of photographs and they also help them to video shoot the images, which can be seen again and again. But then we are all able to view the skies because of the brainstorm of the great astronomer Galileo. Today we are indebted to this great scientist who has made astronomy a field of passion for all the young budding children who are interested in this field of science.
